It is a needle-punched reinforced composite geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) comprised of a uniform layer of powder sodium bentonite encapsulated between a woven and a nonwoven geotextile with or without a uniform HDPE geofilm coating applied to the nonwoven surface to lower the hydraulic conductivity. This structure can form a quite low permeability hydraulic barrier.
With this system it is possible to avoid slippage and the accumulation of bentonite as a consequence of cuts, tears, vertical applications and movements. The product is intended for moderate to steep slopes and moderate to high load applications where increased internal shear strength is required.
GCL is self-attaching and self -sealing to concrete or other construction structures.

Core layer: High-quality sodium bentonite powder with exceptional swell capacity (20-28 times when hydrated) .
Reinforcement layers: Upper nonwoven geotextile and lower woven geotextile, bonded via needle-punching technology .
No chemical binders used—mechanical bonding ensures structural integrity and environmental safety .
Bentonite particles are evenly distributed to guarantee uniform waterproofing performance across the entire liner .
Superior Seepage Control: Forms a dense colloidal barrier when hydrated, with permeability 100 times better than compacted clay .
Self-Healing Capability: Sodium bentonite repairs up to 2mm cracks automatically, adapting to soil settlement and structural movement .
Reinforced Durability: Needle-punched geotextile layers enhance tensile strength and resistance to punctures during installation .
Efficient Installation: Lightweight and easy to deploy, reducing labor and equipment costs compared to traditional clay liners .
Eco-Friendly Design: Natural bentonite is inorganic and non-toxic, ensuring no environmental pollution .
Temperature Resistant: Performs reliably in extreme cold or heat without brittleness or degradation .

Municipal water and sewage pipelines: Prevents leakage and protects pipelines from soil corrosion.
Gas and oil utility trenches: Creates a secondary containment barrier for environmental safety.
Electrical and communication trenches: Shields cables from moisture and soil erosion.
Landfill liners and caps: Blocks harmful leachate from contaminating groundwater .
Wastewater treatment facilities: Lines lagoons, ponds, and sludge drying beds .
Hazardous waste storage areas: Provides secure isolation for toxic substances.
Underground garages and basements: Waterproofs foundations and retaining walls .
Canal and reservoir liners: Reduces water seepage and improves water conservation.
Mine tailings dams: Prevents heavy metal leakage into surrounding soil and water .
Complies with international standards including ASTM D5890, ASTM D5887, and ISO 14001 environmental certification .
Each roll undergoes strict quality testing, with certified results for bentonite content, permeability, and tensile strength .
Meets USDA Material Specification 595 requirements for geosynthetic clay liners .
Free of harmful substances, suitable for potable water and environmentally sensitive areas.
Prepare the subgrade: Remove sharp rocks, roots, and debris; compact to ensure a smooth, stable surface .
Unroll the GCL with the nonwoven side facing up; overlap adjacent rolls by 15-20cm for seamless waterproofing.
Secure edges with soil nails or bentonite tape; avoid stretching the liner during placement.
Hydrate lightly with water to activate the bentonite, ensuring full swelling and barrier formation .
Store rolls indoors or under UV protection to prevent moisture absorption before installation .
Avoid placing heavy equipment directly on the installed liner; use protective boards for access.
Inspect periodically for damage—repair tears with GCL patches and bentonite powder.
For long-term projects, monitor hydraulic performance every 2-3 years.
The natural bentonite material does not age or degrade, providing permanent waterproofing for over 50 years.
Yes, the reinforced geotextile layers and bentonite core resist acids, alkalis, and salts .
It can be installed in temperatures as low as -10°C without losing performance.
